Cambrian Mountains

23rd – 25th May (end 5th week)

There are still places available for this trip
(Contact the trip leader for more details)

Helen and Christopher will be heading to the Cambrian Mountians in mid-Wales. Though less often visited than Snowdonia to the North or the Brecon Beacons to the South, the Cambrian Mountains offer beautiful scenary and challenging walking. We will be staying in a barn at the foot of the Plynlimon mountain, the highest peak in central Wales, which we are hoping to climb. We also hope to go to the Elan Valley Reservoirs, an area notable for its wildlife, which may provide views of the endangered Red Kite.

Leaders: Helen Jenks, Christopher Thomas
Accommodation: The Maesnant Centre
Grid ref: SN774881
Departure time: 5.30pm (TBC)
Cost: £38
