Home : Weekend Trips : - Dartmoor

Dartmoor

Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th March (end of 7th week)

This trip is full

Dartmoor is the one of the largest areas of uncultivated land in England and Wales, with nearly 1000 km2 of moorland to explore. The wild expanses of Dartmoor were the inspiration for Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles and many other writers and painters. Truly a great way to get away from urban Oxford!

We will be staying on a working farm right in the middle of the moors. The bleak beauty of Dartmoor is right on our doorstep. There will be options for walks in the north and south of Dartmoor of varying lengths, which we will decide on the day.
