Richard Campbell and John Seymour head up north for a weekend in the Yorkshire Dales. They will stay in a former byre in the picturesque village of Brompton-on-Swale, a perfect base to do some great walking! The Pennine Way crosses the head of Swaledale, a rugged, steep-sided dale with magnificent views and a torrent of a river in winter. There is an extraordinary variety of scenery: beautiful river valleys and rolling meadows, as well as Lead Mining heritage on display.
